  • Competitions, trials, and preparation

  • 1-to-1 training sessions

By booking or purchasing any service, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. General

All services are delivered in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and the Refund and Cancellation Policy published on this website.

By completing a booking, you confirm that:

  • You are over 18 years of age

  • You have the authority to enter into this agreement

  • The information you provide is accurate

2. Booking and Payment

All bookings must be made in advance.

  • A place is confirmed only once full payment has been received.

  • Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Payment must be made via the booking system or agreed payment method at the time of booking.

  • Where payment plans are offered, the full balance must be paid before the service begins.

Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of your booking.

3. Refunds and Cancellations

Refunds and cancellations are governed by the Refund and Cancellation Policy available on this website.

By booking, you confirm that you have read and agreed to that policy.

If a handler arrives late, the session cannot be extended beyond the scheduled time.

4. Dog Health and Welfare

Dogs attending any in-person session must:

  • Be physically healthy and fit to participate

  • Be up to date with vaccinations

  • Be free from contagious illness

Bitches in season may attend only with prior agreement and may be required to work separately.

If your dog shows signs of illness, stress or discomfort during a session, you may be asked to pause or leave early in the interest of welfare.

Dog welfare always takes priority over training progression.

5. Behaviour and Suitability

All dogs are individuals and not every service is suitable for every dog.

If a class or workshop is deemed unsuitable due to stress, safety concerns, or behaviour beyond the scope of the session, alternative options may be recommended.

Dogs displaying aggressive behaviour that poses a risk to people or other dogs may be removed from the session without refund.

If your dog has previously shown aggressive behaviour, you must contact me prior to booking a group session. A 1-to-1 environment may be more appropriate.

6. Equipment and Handling

Dogs must remain on lead unless otherwise instructed.

The following equipment is not permitted unless agreed in advance:

  • Slip leads used as corrective tools

  • Choke chains

  • Prong collars

  • Aversive or punishment-based equipment

Handlers are responsible for maintaining control of their dog at all times and for following all safety instructions.

7. Handler Responsibility

You remain fully responsible for your dog’s behaviour, wellbeing and actions at all times.

Snout and About cannot be held responsible for injury, loss or damage caused by your dog, except where required by law.

Participation in training sessions, whether in-person or online, is at your own risk.

For online services, you are responsible for ensuring:

  • Your training environment is safe

  • Your dog is appropriately managed

  • You follow guidance safely and appropriately

8. Online Services and Digital Products

Online coaching sessions are delivered virtually and rely on accurate information provided by you.

Snout and About is not responsible for:

  • Technical issues beyond reasonable control

  • Internet connectivity failures on the client’s side

  • Incorrect implementation of training advice

Personalised training plans and digital products are provided for educational purposes and require consistent implementation by the handler.

Access to digital materials may not be shared, copied or distributed without written permission.

9. Training Methods

All training is force-free, reward-based and centred on welfare.

Physical punishment, intimidation, flooding or harsh handling is not permitted.

Failure to comply with welfare-based training standards may result in removal from the session without refund.

10. Behavioural Outcomes

Dog training outcomes depend on:

  • Consistency of implementation

  • Environmental factors

  • The dog’s history and temperament

  • Handler engagement

Specific behavioural results cannot be guaranteed.

11. Children and Additional Attendees

Children may attend sessions only with prior agreement and must be supervised at all times.

Unless agreed otherwise, only adult handlers may work dogs during sessions.

12. Liability

Dog training and outdoor activities carry inherent risk.

While every reasonable care is taken:

Snout and About accepts no liability for injury, loss or damage sustained during sessions except where caused by proven negligence.

Clients are strongly advised to hold appropriate pet insurance.

No liability is accepted for external costs such as travel, accommodation, missed contracts or lost earnings.

13. Photography and Video

Photos or videos may occasionally be taken during sessions for educational or promotional purposes.

If you do not wish you or your dog to be photographed or filmed, you must notify me prior to the session.

14. Changes to Services

Snout and About reserves the right to:

  • Amend class content

  • Change location or dates
